Hey everyone,
Im looking at possibly getting a mazda 3 when they arrive, can any of you recommend a dealer in the DC metro area (rockville, bethesda, wheaton, Gaithersburg specifically)? or recommend a dealer to stay away from?

Never bought a new car before, but its about time to replace what I have.

Don't know too many over in the Montgomery County area, but definitely DO NOT go to DARCARS. Their sales associates are as sleesy as they come and make promises they can't fulfill.

A good one near you is Fitzgerald Auto Mall. Check out their website www.fitzmall.com

They have no haggle pricing. I actually bought my 2001 ES from their location in annapolis. Another good dealership is Heritage Mazda, but that will be a bit of a drive for you because they are in Owings Mills.

i just got my msp from rich morton mercury mazda down in glenburine great guys i dealt with, stay away from russel mazda in my opinion, they tried to screw me before i pulled out my math ginseu and chopped off their sleek smile :D

russel mazda in ellicott city, ask for steve sherman... DONT go there for service...

yeh when i went to russel i had some guy named mike as a sales guy, but the sales manager was a dick although the finacial manager was a friend of my brothers from highschool, either way they still tried to screw me so i got a better deal at rich morton

Gotta know what you are doing if you go to Russel, and definately beware of the finace guys-well that goes for anywhere...

russel suxs ass...i would never go within 3 miles of them, its really sad how stupid ppl can be, anyway, the financing guys at rich morton were cool and i told them what i wanted and they haggled a lil then gave it to me, no run around and no BS....simple and easy :)

heh, anyone know of a good service place that wont **** me over for mods i have done to my car? i only have engine mounts but i dont want to go anywhere where they will say look mod!! no more warrenty but we'll do this anyways without telling u then expect u to hand over ur money...

I'll add my 2 , Rosenthal-Arlington (VA close) had the exact P5 I wanted but were somewhat sleazy.
Agreed on a price over the Internet and they were about $300 less than others.
Gee.... start the paperwork and there is a $299 PROCESSING FEE !! :wtf:
I got that waived and they come back with a disclaimer sheet to sign regarding RAIN (water) damage to the cars interior. It alledgedly had the windows down and carpet was replaced due to water damage. (Seats ok due to plastic covers?)
I freaked somewhat and the Gen. Sales Mgr. assured me it was not flood damage only the carpet was replaced and car was checked for any other problems. Plus car was discounted due to this fact (not because I got a good price quote on the Internet??).
I was ready to walk but decided to take the risk... may regret it later. I'm picking the car up on 12/26 in the DAYLIGHT and will be crawling over it with my flashlight.
CEL was on when I test drove it too.... "gas cap" or emissions problem due to FLOODED cat????
so am I a SUCKA??

If you don't mind traveling about 100 miles, you might want to check out Preston Mazda, in Hurlock Maryland. It's not too far from Easton.

I bought my P5 there in April. As car buying goes, the whole experience went quite well. Good pricing, nice people, and no last-minutes surprises.

I think dealers are better the farther away they are from big metropolitan areas, in this case: Washington and Baltimore.
