DDM Tuning just lowered the price on their 35W Raptor HID kit from $40 to $30. Comes with everything you need to plug-and-play, no battery hookup required, and even comes with a one-year warranty.

This is an amazing price. If you've been wanting HID's now is the time to bite the bullet. I personally recommend the 35w for street use unless you have a projector retrofit.

UPDATE (11/18/09): The Raptor kit now comes with larger ballasts instead of the slims, but come with a LIFETIME warranty.

What bulb do you need?

P5
Low beam - H7
High beam (I don't recommend it) - 9005
Fog lights - H3

Relay wiring harness (HIGHLY recommended) - http://www.retrosolutionsllc.com/servlet/the-247/HID-XENON-WIRING-HARNESS/Detail

MSP/Sedan
Low/high beam - H4
Fog lights - H3

Relay wiring harness (HIGHLY recommended) - http://www.retrosolutionsllc.com/servlet/the-245/HID-XENON-WIRING-HARNESS/Detail

How to wire up relay harness

I suggest 35W ONLY unless you have a proper HID projector setup.

what is the difference in the raptor kit and the other one they sell besides price

The standard kit is 55w, and has a lifetime warranty instead of a one-year warranty.

The 35w is recommended for ours, and the standard P5 uses an H7 bulb. As for high beams, I wouldn't recommend HID's for high beams unless you share a low/high beam bulb due to the infrequent use of high beams, and HID bulbs requiring warmup time.

I'm guessing the p5 headlights and the msp headlights are the same?

Do the msp headlights share a low/hi beam bulb?

Omg, this is making my head spin.

The standard Protege sedans share a low/hi beam bulb, the P5 is the only Protege with separate bulbs. They share one H4 bulb, we have an H7 for low beam, 9005 for high beams, and H3 for fog lights.

the standard isnt 55w, thats an option. 55W is way to bright for the street IMO

and to harrisonchang
P5 bulbs are H7, MSP and Sedan bulbs are H4 BiXenon
P5 fogs are H3 and those are the same as the 03 MSP's

thats about all the bulb sizes u need

EDI: dam u beat me lol
