No, actually I think it got better. If I did lose a little in the low beams, I made up with a major improvement in the fog lights. The whole area in front of the car at night is much more lit, which was what I wanted.

Perfect....thanks for the info, ordering mine right now.

ugh... my stuff isnt coming in till friday.. (notcool) and with the occ car show coming up this weekend i wont have pics for u guys till next monday or tuesday depending on the weather.

I've got 3000k's in my fogs with my stock Low beams. Probably going to swap my lows out with 6000k's and also put 6000k's in my high beams since I do use them a lot where I live. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the blue and yellow look on my car and I noticed a definite improvement in visibility on the road right in front of me! I'm also planning on putting in LEDs in all my exterior lights Hopefully that'll look good :). I can't see Steve's pics from work but once I get home and look at them...I'll comment :)

Just throwing my .02 in here :)

ok guys.. heres what happened to me, put the fog light kit in and it worked fine for a day then last night went out and tested it on a good 30 minute drive and while switching to my high beams completely blew out every bulb including the HID kit bulbs.. ive posted a thread about it.. anyways about 10 minutes ago i went through everything with a test light and all the connections had power so i went a grabbed 2 H11 bulbs i had laying around and put them in the fogs and they work!! so problem solved sorta.. i went back and looked at the stock fog lights that i took out and they were H11 55w Bulbs.. not 35w as mentioned in this thread.. so thats where my problem was.. i need to order a 55w kit and reinstall it... so just as a warning please check which kind of bulbs u have in ur fogs before u buy a kit and make sure u get the right kit or ull end up like me lol..

what i want to know is why are steve's stock fog bulbs 35w and mine are 55w.. im guessing its because he has the sport model and i have the GT model.. and if this is the case then u need to put this in the first post so other people dont have the same issue i did.

The lighting is the same on both trim levels. You can use a 35w kit and it won't hurt anything. I went with 35w since I didn't want the fogs to overpower the low beams.

im thinking my issue was an isolated one.. atleast i hope so for all the others who have bought this kit or are thinking about it, becuase its a really nice kit so i dont want to discourage anyone from buying it..

i ordered a 55w kit and went out today and got some H1 bulbs for the high's.. i plan on doing the fog light mod while i take everything out again.. and just for peace of mind i wont have the fog lights on then switch over to the high beams anymore.

Hey I know I remember a few people saying 55w hid fogs would melt the housing. Is this true cause I was thinking bout getting 55w but maybe i should play it safe and get the 35w.

Thanks

Take a look at your owners manual...your stock halogen fogs are 55w. Xenon/HID bulbs run cooler than halogens...you do the math.

I went with 35w fogs because I didn't want to overpower the low beams, because I still want the look to be close to stock appearance, and 55w fogs are extremely bright compared to our stock HIDs.

i kno i kno they are but i could of sworn a few people were talking about melting. maybe im thinking about something else. BTW, steve, the picture of your 6k looks quite blue compared to other 6k ive seen. Is it look like that in real life or does it appear more blue in that photo?

They're blue when you look at them in the housings, but the light is a very cool white color and makes visibility better, especially that light coming from the fogs.
