Damn that Noise!!

I guess this could fall into the tire category!?

So due to some b**** in an SUV, i had to use my spare tire for the first time.

Now that my tire has been repaired, and the spare back is where it belongs, i can NOT get rid of this horrific noise. This tire rubbing metal noise that is incessant while i drive!

Anyone else have this problem? It's to the point where i need to carpet the well where the spare is, or take the spare out?

It sounds like it is not locked down tight enough, but I am sure you already checked that.

You may want to get an old beach towel, and wrap it around the spare tire before you put it back in.

Just an idea.

Yes i have adjusted it many times!

I actually did what you mentioned...i have a towel under the tire and it stopped.:wtf:

Just a heads up for those that need to use the spare.
