And look on the bright side, at least it was idling instead of 6500 rpms at 151 mph!

Lol... yea. And I just heard. Looks like the timing was fine, and it actually didnt skip. Were not out of the woods yet, but it looks like the engine shouldnt be internally damaged at least.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm still unsure about it. I'm gonna do some photochopping tonight and see how i feel about it. I would leave it unpainted, and get a CF grille, etc, but in my opinion, that has been done one too many times, and is just too common on proteges. I like being, at least a little different than everyone else.

As for the tires, i'm running 215/35/18 Toyo Proxie 4's and they are finnally starting to get scrubbed in after 100 miles on them and DAMN they are a HUGE improvement over the stock rubber. I dropped into an on ramp doing about 10mph faster on these things tonight, and they are still improving with every mile i put on them. Good stuff! Road noise, and ride has actually improved over the stock setup!

I love the rims!!LOL!!!! Thats my exact setup exept I have 235/40/18.Now please tell me your not using gorrilla lugs. Go to www.evasivemotorsport.com and get some Rays or 5Zigen lugs. The Gorrila ones will eat up the rim holes and dont fit right. They will also make the rims rattle due to the access weight.

Well we thought it was probably something stupid, and we were right. The ignition plug on the microtech fell off because we didnt secure it properly, thus cylinders 1 and 4 werent firing.

Were re-programming the rev limiter for 3000 rpms, and droppping it off at the dealership for paint as we speak.

YAY!!!

i tried to find out what you are getting painted by going back some posts, but i was looking very quick like and didn't see.....so whats getting painted? my guess is the hood? and if i am right, KEEP THE CARBON FIBER!!! just my opinion. but it's your car, it'll still look good either way you go i guess. holla (thumb)
