Follow the vehicle curveture lines remove away tail lights and minor cosmetics you are looking at nearly identical vehicles
Notice this lexus rx series= toyota highlander
infinity g35=nissan 350z
hummer h3=nissan xtera
lexus es300=toyota camry
acura mdx 3rd gen only=honda pilot
all car manufactures use same vehicle structure within another vehicles design base. aka chassy
Car and driver always points these things out by the way JMhumr did you have your car ecu flashed? that you are getting those gas numbers? so far i am only getting about 17mpg

I've parked next to an "Edge" and although similiar in shape to the CX7, they did some "butt ugly" things to the trim on the outside of the vehicle. No where near as sharp as a CX7Int3grity said:please please don't tell me the lincoln mkx is a cx-7 in dinguise being that mazda is a ford company look at the pictures below this is annoying to me. how much of a resemblence (bang) (bang) (bang)

MKX is a luxury version of the Edge. Just like Mercury Mariner and Ford Escape are the same just one is more luxurious etc. Hubby just got the ugly Mariner 9 months ago and now wants the MKX instead! He loves my CX 7 and wants to take my car everywhere when we go together some place. Can't beat the zoom over so-so Mariner style. Hate the seats in the Mariner the most next to it's styling. Mine is 100 times better styling and comfort!!

It's funny that you think that. I would rather spend $40k on a BMW than a Chevy that will break down in a few years. All the interiors of American cars look like crap. They use the same style they did 20 years ago. American car companies have been losing tons of money and business to foreign competitors becaus they make bad cars. The Edge and MKX are the same, simply badging differences. The CX-7 is quite different.
While both use the Mazda 6 chassis as the basis the CX-7 stays much closer to the 6 than the Edge and the MKX. Look at the specs.

MKX

CX-7
Length: 184.1 in. Width: 73.7 in.

Length: 186.8 in. Width: 70.1 in.
Height: 56.7 in. Wheel Base: 105.3 in.
