For now I am replacing the stoch head unit that has the bose system in it with an aftermarket double din size head unit with 2 headrest monitors. I have the install kit from scoche along with the wiring harness. Since the CX7 came with the Bose System in it, do i need to bypass the amp and rewire all the stock speakers, or is there a piece that will let me bypass it without have to rewire the entire car? I am going to keep the stock speakers for now, but i am going to replace the head unit and add 2 headrest monitors.. Can anyone help??

If the Bose system is anything like the one in the Mazda6, it sends 2v pre-out signal to the amplifier. You may want to test this with a voltmeter before you remove it.

If that is the case, you should connect the pre-out cables on the new head unit to the wiring harness instead of the speaker outputs. You can do this by purchasing a cheap set of RCA cables (you need the male ends) and stripping the ends. It will look just like this except male ends instead of female...

This is very important: Connect the center wire to the positive and the outer wire to the negative. Check your work afterward by turning on the head unit and fading to each speaker using the bal/fad controls. If you hear sound from any other speaker when doing this you messed it up. The RCA connections use a common ground so they cannot be reversed like speaker wires. The result is cancelation and sound bleeding between different channels on the amp.

What store did you pick your dash kit up from? Scosche website gives dealers, i went to like 5 near me, no one had it. I even searched their online dealer, and there wasn't any available.
