CX 7: 210 km/h on German Autobahn

@offset98

sorry for waiting.

the fifth gear goes up to 220/approx. 5500 rpm, and the sixth is just economic gear.

Maybe i really need a boost (drive2), but i want to buy a boat... i need more money (sad2)

Mine stopped accelerating at 190km/h. Its governed there I guess cause it was still pulling in 5th with a lot of rpm left in that gear. Really, there is no need to go that fast in canada but as a rule, I try to see how fast each car I own goes.
The murano is faster than the cx7.
The talon goes to the rev limiter in 5th that I've set at 8500 rpm (somewhere around the 275km/h range.

The cx is the nicest though.

I had a Murano before my cx and the cx is faster in the mid and upper power band and handles much better. The murano is better off the line but if you are turning and accelerating, the torque steer is horrible on the murano. It's so bad that you can lose control of the car if you floor it off the line through a turn (like turning at a traffic light that has just turned green). The cx has the least torque steer of any FWD car I have ever driven.

Hmm, I wouldn't know anything about fwd. I buy vehicles like this mainly because they do have awd and they rock in the bad weather I live in. The murano would own the cx7 from the start and all the way to top speed, the cvt is too much for an auto transmission with similar hp and tourqe ratings. Of course the 2.3 turbo has a lot more potential for making bigger numbers with similar mods, if thats what your into.

There is no question that on a track or in any type of evasive movements, the cx7 would prevail. It handles 100 times better and is just an all around nicer ride than the murano unless you like the way a truck drives. And if you like fixing $2500 transfercases every couple of years. If thats what you like, get a murano. Nissans are pieces of s*** IMO.

the mo runs out of steam over 100mph and the cx7 is seconds faster than the murano, the cx7 2.3 overall is better than the muranos 3.5. the place were it has the upper hand is 70-90 the rest is all cx7.

Seconds faster? Like in the quartermile? I can't see that. Maybe a half mile. I do like my cx7 better but I don't think its faster. As soon as my piece of s*** nissan is out of the shop, i'll race em. I don't want to lose to my girlfriend so are you sure I should be sitting in the cx?

Wow, close. You could call it a drivers race but the're both autos so that wouldn't make sense.

this is w/ the bump.. quicker but puffs out and the cx7 pulls seconds ahead, its diff for the older mo.. it puffs out quiker

True...I see some things I'd adjust on there though...Murano had a full tank, CX-7 had a 1/2. Remember small things add up. A gallon of gas weighs 6.25 lbs.
Looks like they catch each other around 105 mph but at that point, it doesn't even matter as one is gov. at 116 and the other at 117. Its a driver's race.

and mazda deliver only 4WD to Germany, and there are only two versions you could buy. without nothing and fully loaded. so, it's very easy to decide.

i'm a little bit sad, because you can't get automatic.

Another anal Mazda distributor.

In the land down under, you get 6AT + 4WD only. No 6MT or FWD option.
