CX-5 Photos - Share your shots with us!

Hello,

Been on the forum for a while now just reading up on stuff.

Used to have a MK 6 Golf GTI, but married life soon changed that.

I got the cx 5 because I still wanted to have fun driving for when the wife wouldn't be in the car.

To be honest, it's one of the best cars that I've had.

Really comfortable, agile, and enough poke to get around.

I agree, I had a 08' VW Rabbit and I feel the same way. I could say that this one is even more fun, since I have dropped it on Corksport springs, I have 20" wheels and I'm waiting on Corksport sway-bars. On the VW, I had GTI sway in the back, H&R Sport springs and 18" wheels.

That's almost the same set up on my GTI.

I had the HR Touring Cup Kit with sway bars at the front and rear, sitting on 18's.

I've considered the springs but my only concern is the ride comfort.

For your set up (with the wheels), how much has it effected the ride?

Hahahahaha wow.... how did I miss that. And she doesn't want it lowered. I already tried talking her into it. She at least let me put on corksport exhaust. Lol

Nice ride. Mine it was a shadow blue. I have painted all the black plastic parts on it, I have made my own LED bars in the fog grill, back in 08'. Not to many people had LEDs back then, mostly the R8s. I'm over the LED craze.
The ride is very good(soft) on good roads. The problem is, when there are irregularities. It's a bit harsher then the VW, though. But I like it and I'm not even a youngster anymore, getting close to 49.
I did not feel a big difference between 17" wheels and 20" wheels. Except, I can't spin my wheels anymore, which is a good thing.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm in Riyadh and the roads aren't great. The highways are good, but the side roads have many irregularities.

Anyway, I'm smitten with the car, don't think I'll be changing anything.

Just gonna drive it and try and keep it clean.
