2013~2016 CX-5 Gear Selector Light?

Per the above picture this is a revelation to me. As far as I know the gated shifter was on early Gen 1 models and the "command" selector knob only came about 2-3 years later, well after the updated shifter with the boot was introduced. What's going on here?

Yes it was simple, a new T5 socket 1.2W all glass bulb.
Glowing as new A pic from just now included.

Well that's something. Now gotta check out mine which I feel like never had a light but maybe it did?
