CX-5 3 Door?

Just came across these pics of a couple of 3-door versions of the CX-5. http://www.theophiluschin.com/?p=3671
I assuse they're just renderings, but I have never seen them before. Anyone know any more about them?

Looks good! I think that these are just renderings, and do not know if this would be so easy for Mazda, as the Skyactiv system is engineering for the entire vehicle. If you look at the chassis pictures in their advertising about Skyactiv, they have the "ring" system for crash safety. This would reposition one of those further back and the door would have to be beefed up for side impact intrusion. I would seriously consider one if it looked as good as those renderings.... It would also make for an interesting MazdaSpeedCX-5 edition.........
