Custom Turbo Inlet-Fits Like Stock!

Install CD and instructions were great. I took my time double checking everything. I had to pull the battery box back out to make clearance between the inlet pipe and the box and still only spent 1 hour on the install.
It does make a nice sound now and seems to have some more power in the lower RPM's. The ECU is still learning since I only have about 5 driving cycles on it. I really appreciate you spending your time to get this produced. They turned out a really high quality piece.

With all the road blocks we encountered and un-expected asthetic issues we ran into, we really learned a lot! It's especially pleasing to see all the nice comments like yours; it makes all the time and effort very worthwhile!

Chief, has it driven up your peak boost? nice to have quicker spool up I bet! And the battery tray thing, could you guys tell me more?

I am not presently running a boost gauge to be able to tell. It is definitely nice to spool up quicker. The inlet is very close to the battery box. You just have to make sure that you have clearance between the two to keep from rubbing a hole in the box and the inlet since the inlet moves with the engine and the battery box is stationary. Speedy3 may have some info on the peak boost question.

Do you use any type of motor mount upgrade? I suppose it would not matter. any movement would start to wear. Hey Speedy maybe pair this mod with a light weight battery tray! Anything to lose weight would help me. And pm if you like. Thanks Chief

There is plenty of clearance between the inlet and the battery box if you get the inlet inserted all of the way into the coupler and the coupler all of the way onto the turbo. You just don't know if it is enough until you put the battery box back in. I already had the TRZ poly mount but just switched to the new CP-E mount. I am not completely sold on the CP-E yet. I really like the way the TRZ shifts and am willing to live with a few vibes for the shifter feel. I'll give the CP-E a few more days but right now I am leaning towards putting the TRZ back in.

alright I understand now, also please I am thinking about about a motor mount upgrade again down the road a piece, and I am interested in where you land on this. I have the Cork inserts as I was rubbing the hood with new intercooler and worried about stress on exhaust. they are a good value product and I like them quite a bit and would recommend. But I believe I will have to step up a notch or two as you have to get the more serious performance under control and shifting better to third. Let us know

First I got the AWR 70d mount. At the time thought the vibes were too bad for the benefits. Changed to the CS inserts. I ran these for quite a while and they weren't too bad, but wanted to upgrade. Then went to the TRZ poly mount. This mount in my opinion is almost perfect. Improves shifting greatly, but a few vibes. Now I am trying the CP-E mount. I have had it for a while but put off installing it till I saw some reviews from people changing from TRZ. Didn't see what I was looking for and went ahead and installed. As far as vibes it is almost like the stock mount, but I am not feeling the same solid shifts as I was getting from the TRZ poly. So I will give it another day or two and if my feelings about it don't change then I am going to go back to the TRZ to stay. For me the shifting feeling far outweighs the few vibrations that I get. That is my $.02 on motor mounts.

Any info on a GB? Curious...

What about "price per HP" on a stock (except for CAI) MS3? Is it worth it? (Yes, i've seen what kind of power it makes--just want other opinions.)

Daniel

I'll just get the GB list going pending price and options.
