The fuel rail work for anyone. However it will only be a looks thing for you.
The rail will benefit those that are FI that are needing more fuel.
So how far into N/A land would you have to go before you would need this upgrade? 200 hp? Pretty much never?

Thanks

I remember reading posts where people are finding that the number four cylinder seems to run the leanest. This could be for a few reasons: furthest injector from the pressure source in a long skinny tube, and also the furthest cylinder from the water pump (hotter cylinder). A larger fuel rail will make sure that each injector gets the fuel that it needs when someone wants to go WOT.

It's really hard to say.If I was to put a number on it,NA 200-225HP+.
Ok, thanks. Not sure I'll ever get there, but I'll damn sure try. :)

meaning we can begin to place orders then? or they will become available to the public very soon?
Orders will be taken Aug 2nd.We will be doing some testing for the next week and a half and getting in all the screws, box, instructions, etc finalized.

Hmm, I was just noticing that the tuningdepot no longer has the OBX rail for the Protege and that essentialspeed.com wants $260 for just a rail with fittings. (headshake
I think I know where my money is going.(naughty)

bahaha exactly.. PLUS after hearing what Batmang has gone through with ES I'd never order from them.

But in all honesty- I just looked at the obx rail and this one is a much better piece inmy opinion. Plus we don't even need to talk about the price difference. :) In a little over a week the finished product will be installed. Stay tuned!

very good news people.... very important aspect to fuel delivery at higher HP levels... if you choke it (stock) you'll get lean AF's even with the fuel return line plugged

Beau, If we buy the fuel rail, in your opinion, what fuel regulator should we use? (name brand & model) You have far more experience with this type of mod than I do.

Thanks,

Steve
