That is my buddy doing the welding and his girl sitting down. She is going to kill me:D You are seeing shorts, dont get excited.

I made a magnaflow axleback..how much did that random tech cat cost you? I have a 2002 DX..I wanted to remove the pre-cat and replace the 2nd cat and run 3" piping..any thoughts...that or figure out a way to run dualies like the WW Protege..anyone know?

The cat retails for about $320 or so. 2 1/2" is big enough. We run 3" on the ZR-1 and it puts 500+ to the wheels.

excellent..as for the piping..did you replace the resonator? I want to just run piping from where the pre-cat is (was) to the new random cat, then back to my muffler..how did it end up sounding?

Hopefully I'll get my exhaust finished soon. . .I'm going 3" with dual tailpipes. . .should be fun. . .ordered the parts. . .finally figured out a way to do it. . . stay tuned. Note: I also went with a Magnaflow exhaust (basically going to 2 after the muffler because any muffler that is 3" in and 2 outs is way too big to fit under the car.)

As for Wshade. . .that thing is awesome. . .I can't find a place to do a SS exhaust for me. . .so I won't have as nice of a setup, but I don't mind replacing it every now and then (change of aural satisfaction or something). Otherwise, absolutely beautiful man!

No resonator on mine (check the photos again). Just cat, piping and muffler. It sounds really deep, the turbo keeps it really quiet. On a N/A car you would need a resonator.

ah..so...I'll just get a cherry bomb resonator..so with that...what should I use to bring it back into dualies? a y-pipe? I just want make sure its equal flow through both piping

The "Y" pipe will work but our motors do not produce enough flow to utilize a system like that. I have a buddy with a N/A Eclipse and dual exhaust. One side is black from carbon and the other looks brand new as if no exhaust ever flowed through it:cool: Remember, 800 Hp Supra's run single exhaust;)

Looks real nice. (thumb)

My car is in the works right now 2 1/2" full SS radom technolgy high flow cats and a JIC Magic canister.

what about the WW protege..(yellow MSP) that is running dualies..looks and sounds awesome

You are right, it looks and sounds really awesome. I am just saying its overkill for performance:cool: Are you going to get the rear bumper that has exhaust ports on both sides? I saw it out there somewhere. It looks really good!

yea the postert bumper is dualie..sigh..too much money at it won't fit my sedan..the WW bumper was custom however..Most likely I will just pick up that cat and get the edelbrock cherry bomb and be done with it...can you shoot me the specifics on the cat you picked up? where to get it and how much it runs for..on that note, i have to figure out a way to stop my magnaflow exhaust to stop rattling..christ its terrible...

Nice system...I've had several tuner people tell me 3" is needed for power levels above 400-500...but I believe some people here run and stick by 3" systems for less then 400 hp...Hmmm

I agree 3" is overkill unless you're running "serious" power.
