Anyone else notice most of the movies coming out now have a dark feel to them? It's been (with the exception of Finding Nemo) a long time since a family or humorous movie came out... It's like all of themovies now are thrillers/suspense.

Even though it's big budget and Disney, I thought Pirates of the Caribbean was a lot of fun. It's hard to beat Johnny Depp as a wacked-out pirate; without him it would have been just a run-of-the-mill pirate movie.

I wanted to see that one, but I wasn't sure if it would be good or not. Pirates of the Caribean was a good movie.

I saw that last night...I was pretty surprised by it. It had funny moments(including the large amounts of blood), a few scary parts, and best of all (boobs) All movies should start out the way this one did ...There were a few pretty good fight scenes, but I liked the fact that it had a slight humorous feel throughout the movie.

House of 1000 Corps is out on DVD, I seen it at the theater an it is one of the only movies to earn it's "R" rating that i've seen in a long time!

I seen American Wedding and Pirates.... yesterday. Pirates was kool as s***. Stifler kicked ass in American Wedding! Oh and that Maid and Cop were Hot in American Wedding!

Yeah, Freddy vs. Jason sucked. Pirates kicked ass. Johnny Depp is just the shiznit. He's like a damn chameleon. Never even close to the same character twice. Bad boys II had some kickass action scenes, but I guess the plot was pretty dark.

My fave summer movie was Bad Boys II. All I had to do was sit, watch and enjoy. I like movies where I don't have to think for a change.

havent been to the theaters lately but i thought 28 days later was cool, house of 1000 corpses was also good(i liked the ending), am i still human for liking T3, american wedding....well lets just say that they squeezed all and a little extra juice from the lemon.....

I don't know about movies being dark??? Guess I have not seen any of the horror flicks that have been out this summer. I would have to say that I was really impressed with Bad Boys II. Much better than I was expecting. That movies had everything.

My choice for best summer movie.

Another I saw recently was Open Range. This movie was also very good I thought. Some scenes were a little long and I think the entire movie could have been shortened by a half hour, but not a big complaint. The gunfight was KICK ASS!! Best guns action and realistic sounds I've heard in a while. Now I want to get myself a Henry lever action If you like ultra realistic guns sounds and battle also check out HEAT. One of my other all time fav movies.
