Cruise Control On/Off

If you press in on the clutch, the cruise control shuts off. The engine does rev a little, but not very much.

I just tested the clutch/cruise cntrol issue. I barely pressed in on my clutch, and the CC disengaged. Pretty spiffy!

Slightly OT but, does anyone know if the '99 Protege's steering wheel cruise switch is the same as the '00 - '03 ones? The dealer wants $115 Cdn for the switch and I could get the '99 switch for $40.

Forget it. I think the steering wheels were the same from '99 - '02 (4 spoke) and then changed to the current version in '03. I guess it's off to the dealer I go.
