I was at a stop light last night when a cx9 pulled up next to me. I couldn't help but notice the huge stock 20 inch rims it was sitting on and wondered to myself. Would those fit on a ms3? I know it may hinder performance and what not, but with a low profile tire could this possibly work?thought id post this to help people out as recently wev had quite a few people having problems with bios

all the beep codes are different depending of who makes the bios , but here are some of the more common ones

What is a BIOS Beep Code?
When you power on a computer the BIOS immediately takes control of the computer and performs the P.O.S.T (Power On Self Test). At the end of the POST the computer will play an audible 'BEEP' through either the PC's internal speaker of through speakers attached to the sound card (if you have a built-in sound chip). If the POST completed successfully without detecting any problems with then system will play a single short beep to let you know the test is complete and the computer will continue to startup and load the operating system.
If during the POST the BIOS detects a problem it will normally display a visual error message on the monitor explaining what the problem is. However, if a problem is detected before the BIOS initializes the video card, or a video card is not present or not detected then the BIOS will play several 'BEEPS' through the speaker to let you know there is a problem. Depending on the type of the BIOS you have the BIOS may play beeps in a specific pattern to indicate what the problem is, or play the same beep a number of times indicating the problem. It is very important that you pay close attention to the number and/or pattern of the beeps your computer plays on startup.

lol^^^ right and the cx-9 has what turbo charged engine and trans in it with those wheels?????

to the OP what do the cx-9 wheels weigh? if you can get the diameter of the wheels the same as your stock wheels/tires then it will work. if they weigh more it will effect performance...more unsprung weight.
 
they are 20 by 7.5 on the cx9. I diddnt think about the weight tho, those 20's gotta be pretty hefty. Now that i put a little more thought into it, the car would look ridiculous. The car would be way to high on the stock suspension and once lowering it, im sure those tires would rub.

you have no idea how much ridicule you just saved yourself.
 
dude to keep the overall diameter the same you'd have to have tires with a 2.6" sidewall. do they even make those? the ride would be terrible :( you'd feel it when you drove over tiny tiny little pebbles.
 
Try it. 225/30/20 and 225/35/20 are both close fits. They will be 10mm wider than stock and range from -.3" to +.6" less or more sidewall. Those are very close for a rim size change of 2 inches. If the rims are the right offset why not score a set for cheap if thats what your into.

Yea, go for it. I have seen a guy on here with 20"s and it looks fine not like a 4x4 at all. Just like Craig said you just need 30 or 35 profile tires. Porsche uses 235/35/19 tires on the 911 turbo and 911 GT3 so it should perform ok.


I plan on going to 19"s when I get my speed three with enkei rpf1's like this pic.

As for 20"s not being performance tires I would say look at the new GT-R it comes with 20"s and it out performs even porsches.
 
All of the tires I found on the tire rack were ultra high performance and max performance all season and summer tires.
