Anyone knows if this can be welded? The down pipe cracked all the way and is loose.

ya same thing happend to mine it can be welded but it probabley will only hold up for a few months after you weld it

lol Sorry about the laughter, but it's almost as if you posted my pictures from my incident. Exact same issue, I ended up buying lunch to get mine re-welded. Yep, should be 5-10 bucks i'm certain. Sorry about your luck, but I will have you know; mine has been running fine (Aside from the overheating with a brand new everything) regarding the exhaust issue for about 8-10 months i'd say. Anyways, best of luck!

ya mine did the same thing. i recommend awr motor mounts so this does not happen again.

If you weld cast steel/iron it has to be welded a certain way. If not it becomes very brittle. And with as much motor movement as the msp has with stock motor mounts it may not last long.

ya i guess i didnt think that at the time i had bad mounts all around and after i got it fixed i still had bad mounts

I'm gona take it to a shop for the weld after work. I just swaped my motor and got new rear and passenger side monnts (from auto zone). I belive I do have front AWR mounts that the previous owner put in. Hope it wasn't the motor mounts that caused it, cause I did park the car for a good 4 months before I started working on it.
