Ok got a few questions on some stuff im hearing/smelling to see if this is normal.

1)Sometimes after pushing the car a lil', not very hard or anything, When i stop or come to a stop(gradually) I smell something that smells like burning of rubber or something like that.

2) When I stop for the night and get out and cars been off for a bit, I hear something dripping under the hood, dont see anything, but i hear it drip then hit something? Anyone heard this?

3)Got my ECU updated this morning where is the sticker under the hood located?

Thanks.

Hrm... off and on, when Im by myself no, but when im with someone else yes. Doesnt the ac drip on the ground below the car? This is in the engine somewhere.

if your car is brand spanking new then the smell you are getting is probably a coating on the brakes...it's been reported by quite a few people and goes away over time

Yeah car is new. Got it two fridays ago.

As someone else stated the dripping is most likely from your a/c. My mustang dripped after running the a/c and it would drip onto the exhaust making a sizzling noise everytime it dripped...talk about a wierd noise to be hearing when your car is off.

yeah my a/c drips some where but it's not on the ground i never really listened to see if i could hear it though.

i think what hes hearing and thinking is dripping is the "pinging" sound that comes from the turbo after you turn the car off. Seing as he see no fluid bu hears "dripping" which could be the sound the turbo makes.

Most cars usually make ticking / dripping sound. (especially when the car is hot) I think the sound comes from the exhaust or cat. cooling off.

The smell....since the car is brand new and they are manufactured in Japan, they spray the enginie down with a corosion protector. When they transport the motors or cars over seas. It prevents saltly air corossion.

Sounds more like from the engine, but this is a possibilty, ill look tomorrow and see if I can find or pinpoint it more.

Thats neat, never knew they did that but that makes alot of sense. :)

its a corosion protection spay in the fuel tank to prevent rust when the car is shipped overseas, when the gas is burnt u get that burning smell especially when u get on the car hard. i portered for ST Mountain Nissan/Mazda and had to smell that every time i drove to get the damn cars gased up.

its called something like ethalprofaline (excuse the shity spelling)
