Counterfeit S Tech springs

Thats teh ghey. Anybody been reading the counterfit articles in one of the car mags, i think SCC

Besided that little Tein sticker though, everything else looks pretty real to me. Maybe I am just seeing things. My springs that I bought from ebay has the exact same # on the spring as yours:

R-P1M47-OUO EFC except my Tein logo is on the actual spring. What does that 'EFC' number mean at the end? Something to do with manufacturing dates?

Read Tein's website bro. THERE ARE NO STICKERS. So, besides the sticker, look at the spring's number and the angle it sits. It will be at an angle along the spring. The real Tein's will have the number going with the spring.

This is more than a money issue, it is a safety issue.

THERE ARE NO QUALITY CONTROLS ON FAKE s***. Get these out of your car before they snap while you are driving and you get killed. No B.S.

This kind of thing happens all the time. Those springs are probably made in China by someone who is/was a Tein supplier. This is what is happening as production and supply moves to parts of the world where patent and copyright laws are lax.

wow thats messed up... sorry to hear you got ripped MZ.... +rep for the funky for great info!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I was planning on buying s-techs from ebay. They seem to go for around $120-$150 + shipping. I think I will email the seller before I buy and let him know that I am aware of the counterfeit springs and will follow up w/ legal action if he sends counterfeits. Hopefully they'll be honest w/ me and let me know if their springs are counterfeit or not.

If you are referring to the closeup of the spring with the TEIN sticker right on it then yeah. Don't get discouraged, though. I don't know how long these 'fakes' have been around, but I bought some a year ago and they are the real deal. Just a matter of somehow finding the real ones (ughdance)

if they are the same as pictured, they are real. They also offer a refund if they are fake. Looks like a safe bet to me.
