cosworth part

I think some of the internals are the same such as the pistons and crankshaft. Unfortunately I think the whole intake maniford is different so the parts won't fit. It is funny how much is developed for an ugly piece of s*** like a focus but hardly anything for the 3. WTF?

I know the intake manifold will bolt straight up but there is some kind of sensor that the focus doesnt have that the 3 does have and if you dont tap a hole for that sensor to go in then it will make the check engine light come on. Personally I dont give a crap since my check engine stays on anyway. And the throttle body I am still studying on. If the throttle body is electrical then I think that it might possibly work but if not idunno. And I also herd that the intake manifold on the 3 doesnt do anything until you get it tuned.

no the manifold will not work as of yet... it will bolt to the head yes.. but we have an etb and the focus does not that is the problem as i understand it in talking to cosworth that they are trying to see if there is a remedy for without a re-design...

my 2004 australian spec mazda3 still use cable TB like the 2.3 focus... not electronic... so will it still work?

for the intake plenum, we need one extra plug for sensor hey? can it be modified to fit this sensor? if i'm planning to install aftermarket ECU, will it still get the CEL?

also, i was thinking, if intake plenum is too much trouble, i'm plaaning to get this instead:

its not quad TB, i think its roller TB...

sorry for the silly questions guys... and thx for all the responds... oh btw, i'm going for microtech Lt8s for the EMS

The intake manifold has been stated many times to fit, but one bolt for the throttle body doesn't line up and needs to be tapped. We have no way to control the ECU, but there are some Focus running the Manifold with out the ECU upgrade with a CEL.
The rods and pistons will fit, the balance shaft delete kit will fit. You might beable to get away with the header if you have a custom flex pipe made.
If you have a cable driven TB I would look into the Cossy one to see if it will bolt up. That would be a nice mod.

The intake will not work and neither will the exhaust.

And there will be different parts for the 2.0L Duratecs, I think the 2.0L intake maniflod was at SEMA.

The BSD is a nice peice, seems like it is missing a lock washer though.

Holy sh*t dude. those are nice numbers. They seem a little higher than i thought you got from the hiboost. Is it because of the exhaust?
