CorkSport vs. Magnaflow CBE

Ive been doing a little research and cannot find a real advantage or disadvantage of either exaust system. As the title states, im looking at both CBE systems and cannot decide, I am now looking to users of this forum to help me out. As of now, the difference I see is the price.

I've been trying to decide between the two as welll, but it looks like difference is:

Corksport exhaust is 3" Magnaflow is 2.5," Corksport will flow better.

There really is no "advantage" when it comes to catback exhausts. As long as it is made of good material. For our cars they dont give any significant power gains. Basically people buy what they think sounds best.

Magnaflow is the cheapest exhaust system for our car and ive heard that it doesn't have the cleanest fit meaning it may rub. I would recommend the corksport. Its not too expensive and its got a nice sound with a good fitment.

The magnaflow also comes in 3"

...what they think sounds best. Exactly

Corksport was what I was leaning towards. Any other exaust systems that are worth looking into?

My experience with a local MS6'er I did the CS install on is that it will drone ... he ended up putting a resonator in after the main cat. I'd bet the Magnaflow won't drone as I have 2 of their mufflers in the back with a 3" main pipe and have no drone at all.

Ive heard people complaining about drone with every exhaust system.

I had a GHL 3 inch catback for a few months and it was awesome. No drone except when you let off the gas occasionally. Expensive though.

I would go with the corksport just for qualities sake unless you hate the sound of it. I saw someone with a magnaflow exhaust here at school and correct me if im wrong but they dont even fit out the stock tips. They were touching the bottom of the car too which must rattle like crazy on bumps.

I have the Magnaflow , you just need to cut the exhaust tips and keep the mufflers like that , you can keep the stock stainless steel rings in the rear bumber so the Magnaflow mufflers will don't tuch it .So no rattle .

Really? I didn't know that, do you happen to have the part number?

Not off hand, I myself havent seen the part, I have mearly read about people who installed a 3"CBE magnaflow on the speed6. So my info may be less than reliable. I think im settled on the corksport.

this is merely a custom shop's 3 inch pipe work and an ordered universal magnaflow muffler. this is the best sound and performance cat-back for the car while still remaining street legal. adding a catted DP and a high flow cat (maybe from the new mazdaspeed3, its supposed to be the best production catalytic converter ever made) may keep you emissions legal, but def. not decibel wise.

this is my opinion based upon my purchase of a headerback exhaust for my 240sx, 2.75inch exhaust pipe to a universal MF muffler, best sounding exhaust i've ever heard, less of some supercars. and also the CPE single exhaust sound vs the magnaflow cars i've heard. MF def. has sound and emissions HANDLED lol.

lol performance and "catback" exhaust do not belong in the same sentence. The stock catback is not bad at all. Its actually a decent size, it just has those wee wee tips.

The downpipe / test pipe are the only 2 exhaust restrictions in the speed 3 / 6.

i love my magna flow.. i think it fit great...sounds awsome.. no drone..rattle ect..
no fitment issues if you take the time to adjust the tips correctly..

I cut the angled tips off my Magnaflow CB and replaced with straight tips. This elimated the rattling on the bumper. I also added a resonator pipe after the DP to quiet it down a little. I'm happy with it now.

There is no 3" Magnaflow exhaust for the MS6.
