HEY CORKSPORT!!! I see you have a catted racepipe for the mazda3. I have your catback exhaust but did not get the racepipe because then i'd be catless and would not pass TEXAS inspection.. How hard is it to include a cat in the racepipe for the mazda2? My understanding is that the mazda2 has 2 cats, one eliminated with the catback exhaust, but the other remained and i was able to pass inspection. Am i right about this?
I sent corksport an email asking for info on the race pipe but never got response. Maybe someone from corksport could chime in on here?

This from TX DMV...
1. Inspection Procedure. Examine visually.
2. Inspect for and reject if:
a. The exhaust emission system has been removed.
b. The exhaust emission system has been disconnected.
c. The plumbing or hoses are loose, broken, leaking, or improperly routed.
d. Air pump (air injection-type) belt is loose, removed, excessively cracked, frayed or has pieces missing.
e. The exhaust emission system has been altered in any manner to make it ineffective.
f. The catalytic converter has been removed, leaking, or disconnected on a 1984 or later model vehicle.
So....... I guess as long as it all looks ok... i thought they did a "sniffer" test but it looks like thats only on older vehicles. Everything else seems to done by the OBDII port. so no codes and if it looks like no cracks.. leaks.. seems like it would be ok.. hmm. what are the gains of the race pipe? Now i'm torn between lowering the 2, getting the racepipe, or getting the ecu tuned. UGGGGHHH!!!
So since I have the cat back exhaust.. does this mean I've already removed the primary cat and adding the racepipe won't make a difference now as far as inspection goes?
