Corksport MM Inserts. My first Mod!

Ken, I bought mine 2 weeks ago from Protege Garage and they were blue. Any idea when the CPE mount will be available again?

right, at that time we were getting a mix. now all i order are black. josh at cp-e told me one more week on thier mounts.

Darn! I really wanted black. No way in hell I'm taking those blues out and putting in black now though!

Black looks hot under there, really stealth, looks stock! No one would really notice.

I am not excited to see how many times they're going to stall my car at the dealership since it is different now.

My question is where the hell are my inserts, I ordered the CP-E mount ages ago and got tired of waiting so I canged my order or the CS inserts a week ago and still havent seen them. I am usually patient but this is getting rediclious.

Yeah, a week is far too long for a customer to be asked to wait. I expect my purchases to be wrapped in gold flake set atop a satin pillow outside my front door the instant I hit the Submit button.

C'mon, Ken, get with the program.

its doable it just might cost you an arm and a leg. the cost of the jet and the helicopter to get it there almost instantly.

I think wheelhop is going to happen, regardless of the motor mount. Tires, compound, temperature, a lot has to go into slamming a bunch of power onto the wheels.

But yes, you guys did tell me so. Holy s*** I love this mod!!!!

with the trz delrin mount I was trying to get hop. I had to do a burnout over good sized bumps in the road to force it to. on a smooth track I can't imagine there is anything you could do to make it hop. this mount is hardcore, and IMO sucks on a DD. soon I'm going to get the inserts, and only swap this in on track days.

I noticed my corksport inserts doing a lot when the temperature was cold. When it warmed up recently, I don't think they were as effective (but it's sorta common sense actually, the plastic flexes).

So either i've gotten used to it already, or I think they've already worn in. The inserts still provide that vibration during initial cold startup, but the engine tone isn't what it was when I first installed them. Kinda curious if they already broke in.

I think mine broke in within a week or so. But I had no wheel hop unless over revving and hitting limiter or on rough surfaces. Once the wheels start to spin try backing out of the throttle alittle bit and shift early at about half throttle start to work second. You might be hitting the limiter at the track especially in first, which might cause anyone trouble. Silver I am used to mine but I still believe any motor mount upgrade is worthwhile. I just wish a full package, all the mounts, was available for some of the more hardcore peoples.

SU now has a preorder for a sidemount. Kinda pricey ~$300. Give it enough time and demand, there'll be aftermarket mounts for all of them.

I was looking over the Corksport manual and it says at the very bottom that it will feel different as the inserts break in. I can say I honestly loved how they felt when they were brand new. My clutch doesn't feel different or worse. But my engine tone doesn't sound like the same as the first day I installed them. Makes me feel like it's not there anymore. I'll bet if I uninstalled it and threw on a completely bone stock rear mount that I'd feel the sloppy-ness ensue.

I'll have to debate whether or not I want to get the TRZ poly or not. Hate the vibes, like the fact it'll be consistent.

It hasn't worn out on mine yet. Its just that you have gotten used to it. Just like any other mod...

Exactly. The break-in + you getting used to it is the combo here. Take the inserts out and you'll feel that engine shifting around in the bay like a Mexican jumping bean!

I just put my corksport inserts in today and wow, what a difference! The vibes are nit bad at all. I should have done this first.
