Everyone asked a lot of questions, but no one said anything about actually installing it (that I have seen). I think the mass questions from everyone created a scare of people not wanting to attempt it.... It's just a downpipe.

seriously, one of the stipulations you guys should have made for being on the first list is that they installed it within a week and gave feedback, i'd really like to buy one but i want to hear what people have to say first, and this whole lack of money thing, but that will pass :p...

once again, can we clear up which pipe is which, please. i want to order the pipe that goes from the turbo, to my C/S exhaust. Which is that? I thought that was technically the downpipe. Or is it the S/J pipe combo? I have a shortblock coming and I figure on installing this while the turbos out.
thanks,
shane

its the s/j combo.... the S pipe comes off the turbo & connects to the J pipe which connects to the CS exhaust....

hope that helped

it has been explained before, numerous times, with pictures :D... the downpipe is the pipe that goes from the turbo to the exaust, it consists of 2 different pipes, the S pipe and the J pipe, when put together they complete the downpipe, you will need both the S and J pipe to connect your turbo to your CS exhaust...

right...but you also had dummies calling the midpipe, "the downpipe" for the last 2 years.

The downpipe goes from the turbo to the cat. There has never been an issue with what Cork Sport has named their products. It is a two-piece downpipe in this case.

The downpipe replaces the "J" and "S" pipes.

i installed the j and the exhaust the week i got it. dont know if oyu were saying no one installed the S or no one installed any of it

couldnt get at the s to get it off as i will need some wrench with an angled head that i dont have and my big hands wont fit up there anyways. I have a friend who has taken one off and put one on his car numerous times (ion) so he said he will do the s-pipe for me but i havent had a chance to bring my car over and do it

well then dont listen to the dummies :p... in the other corksport downpipe threads they went over this a bagillion times, no biggie tho...

ahhh....nevermind, I'm having a bad day. What threw me off were the guys with the Apex J/mid pipe. They only need the "S"part. My apologies...

So besides Ben whose pipes we installed, I have 1 review from slug420?
No other feed back?
No one else gave you anything, good or bad, Ben?
No fitment problems, quality is good?

quality on the pipes looks excellent, my friend and I were carrying the s-pipe around the store as we tried to find a wrench with an angled head that would fit in to the middle bolt on it and everyone who saw us was commenting on how sick it looked.

fitment was perfect on the J and it looks like it will be on the S whenever i get around to installing it. I got the exhaust at the same time and although I knew about it before I bought it, it was still frustrating to have to bend the hangars to make it fit, especially since once in their final bend position they are at upward angles that make them seem like they could slip right out of the KB hangars (rubber things).

It seems like there should be some easy solution to that like having the pieces that are welded to the exhaust go straight up, and then having a threaded end on them, a threaded sleeve that goes on to that, and then a threaded L bracket that goes into the other end of the sleeve to hang it from the rubber hangar. That way you could have it fully adjustable without having to bend anything and your brackets woudl still enter the hangars horizontally so there is no risk of slipping out (which granted hasnt happened yet but it certainly LOOKS possible). It should stay tight since neither the exhaust nor the L bracket would be able to rotate to loosen......
