I'll try to keep this simple and describe the event's as good as possible so here we go...

- We had some trouble installing this bad boy but after all the curse words and a few cuts we got the job done. It took us about 4-5 hours of actual work. The biggest pain was the o2 sensor, we stripped it but somehow we managed to re thread it just enough for it to catch on. I have a custom 3" catback so I had to cut it off in order to install this downpipe. I'm headed back to the exhaust shop on Tuesday to get a flange put on my catback so it can bolt directly up to the downpipe so I have a nice 2 piece exhaust. So you got it folks, I put the corksport downpipe on and thats all I have on.

Well who cares about the install right? We all want to know how it performs... All I have to say this is one of the biggest upgrades I think you can do to this car. I'm so impressed with the downpipe, you can hear the turbo de-spool when you let off the gas, its so loud since I'm running open DP, if your at a decent RPM and you hit the gas your boost builds so much quicker, almost instant. The power throughout the band feels so much better, my boost gauge is actually reading that I'm boosting about 1 psi more give or take and for the first time I hit fuel cut in 4th once while I was racing a WRX. The top end now on my car is insane!!!

To prove its just not all in my mind, I ran a WRX (my best friend) who put down 330whp and has racing gears, before he would walk me, I'd say 10-15 cars. We went from a 20 roll and it was dead even until I shifted into 4th and then he pulled a few cars (2-3) and let off...he said "I'm amazed of how much faster that thing is now and wanted a ride :)

I'd like to Thank Corksport for making a very nice product and I'd like to Thank Ken at protegegarage for helping me out!!! Now if cp-e would come out with that PNP standback, I can start putting down some real power! Good things to come. (drive2)

Also I have no smoke so far and no CEL.

I say re-write this once you have the entire exhaust put on. But congrats anyway. I really like that DP for some reason

Not until I get the CP-e standback, I cant afford a dyno atm! :( I put down 250whp 292 wtq with just my catback/intake/bov. Also I got my exhaust done so I have a 3" turbo-back, instead of just an open DP, still pulls hard and I'm very happy with the results. Also the sound didn't really increase at all, I was surprised. You can hear a little more rumble but it's barley noticeable.

nice! my CS DP just came today, the box looked like the UPS truck ran it over lol. but the DP is still in one piece, so i'm stoked to install it.

hey atriz, why not get the CP-E EMS?

does CS make a catback?

I'm saving right now. I WANT this exhaust for my car.

that's not the turboback, just the catback right?

so it would be that plus the downpipe to have the full tbe. am I right?

is it?

indeed. plus a test pipe too, to take the second cat out. does corksport make a testpipe yet?? Corksport has awesome products!

k well i got my CS DP installed, i won't go into detail since i am running off the DP still (waiting for my test pipe to show up, thanks ken!) once i am able to think inside my car i'll let you know how it pulls, sounds, and my overall impression of the upgrade.

p.s. i installed the DP by myself, it took me 11 hours, sorry i gave up on taking detailed pictures after 1 hour. the instructions were flawless, and easy. the bolts weren't too tight, i think that Corksport has a different install method than the competition though. unless you remove the alternator for other downpipe installs as well. i could cut the time down to 3-4 hours with another person helping me, and if i would have had an O2 sensor socket that worked!

its so fu#$ing loud though, i really can't think in it :) all i can think of is how it sounds like i should be in WRC cuz it sounds so bad ass

Mine s/b in this week ... and I've already loosened the O2 sensor all the way so that job's done!

Whay not just put the main cat back on pHeel until the TP comes in?

i couldn't get the main cat to fit!!! even with the big crush gasket it came with, i ran out of threads and was left with a 1" - 1 1/2" gap!

i'm not sure why, has anyone else had any fitment issues?

btw my test pipe is waiting at home for me to install it tonight!
