A coondog is a hunting dog....its of the HOUND group, and is actually use to hunt racoons. this is what is called a "blue tick coonhound.

well I don't know if you know this or not...but considering that is a beagle...that is a pretty good sized coon....and a good size coon like that can whip MANY a dogs butt and good....and if the dog is stupid enough to get in the water with one...the coon will drown a dog in a heart beat...
