Coolant smell

Sometimes when the car has been sitting in the cold awhile I smell coolant when I first start going. I have looked at the hoses, and resevoir no leaks. My temp gauge never goes past the center but I can feel a good amount of heat when touching the front of the stereo after an hour of driving.

Any ideas? Im do for a 30K radiator flush according to Jiffy Lube dunno what good that will do.

I have a similar problem...

A very/extremely strong chemical smells enters into the car through the vents whenever I use the windshield washer. It would probably be the smell of the washer fluid itself, but what the hell is it doing coming INTO the car. I've only ever noticed it in the P5.

No this is just when i first start up coming through the vents. I hope its not my heater core cracking. Wont know until it spills onto the flooboard.

any coolant lost?

check if the coolant have any oil in it, it would look milky if the headgasket is gone.

Oh no nothing like that. Something like that and I wouldn't need to be asking for help I'd just have the warranty do its job.

yeah but...what if warranty tells you that nothing is wrong, and you still can smell the coolant?

I will check levels today again.
