cone filter upgrade

when you take off the stock air box there are two harnesses. one goes to Air sensor and one the air box. you can put the one to the sensor back on but the cone has not place for the other wire harness. so i left it off but now my engine light is on . can any of you tell me why? also my battery light is on and i dont know why can you please help?

It's your intake air temp sensor, look at the install threads and you will see how to put it in the filter. You can see it at my site:
