Hi all,
So for xmas, I got some $$$ to get a remote starter. I would like to get the Compustar, like I got for my MP3, but as everyone knows, the MSP comes with an actual alarm system, whereas the MP3 came with just keyless entry. Needless to say, I'd like to cause as little damage to the stock system as possible.
In case you did not know, the compustar system is pretty sophisticated:
http://www.compustar.org/products/2WSS_features.html
A feature of particular interest in this application is:
- Factory Rearm/Disarm outputs
This would, in a way, allow the compustar to control arm/disarm controls of the stock system.
Of course this is all nice in theory. In practice, I think if the two systems were active at the same time it would be a funny fight. The compustar would want to keep the car running for the turbo timer. And the stock alarm would complain bitterly that it is armed, yet the car is still running.
Has anyone installed the compustar? More specifically, what would be the best way to install the compustar such that i could, one day, remove it and go back to stock?
Thanks and merry christmas.
