Compression WTF???!!!!

OK the pro was feeling a little sluggish and i noticed a spark plug wire arching so i replaced though and that stopped but still sluggish did a compresion test and I got 123 on all four cylinders give or take 2 psi. Now according to my haynes manual the stock compression should be around 171 at 500 rpm i did the test by turning it over with the key. Now correct me if i'm wrong but isn't that number a little low???? but it was across the board so no peaks in compression and no weird variations so they should be ok no burning oil but still a little sluggish maybe its those heavy ass 17"s i have on there maybe i should ditch those for some ACE rims or the nice tri spoke advans. any suggestions guys?

ok redid it i forgot to hold the pedal all the way to the floor I got 168 across the board this time so I'm not worrying anymore.
