Combination of K&N, Injen, and anti-heat shield????

I have Injen CAI,K&N filter, and heat shield.
If I use K&N filter instead of Injen's, is it supposed to suck up more air? I compared the sizes and K&N is little bit longer than the injen filter. Does that mean K&N sucks up more cold air?
btw, since air is hot in the summer, the CAI sucks up warm air from outside of engine bay.
so, if I put an anti-heat shield around the filter, is it any helpful?

from what i have heard the injen filter is very good and you will not see any any performance gains with the k&n. the injen is probably made by k&n but without the brand name. and the injen does need a heat shield because its a cai. i think what you got is a splash guard.

i agreee. i believe the injen filter is made by K&N.. As far as size goes, measure the surface area of your stock filter.. try and match that surface area with your new filter cone. Since gauze (used in the K&N) is less restrictive than paper, you'll get more airflow. you could get an even bigger filter, but there's really no point..

remember, the filter may be a little oily, and this oil can travel down the tube and taint your MAF sensor, causing poor idling.. clean the MAF often.. like every other oil change...

keep in mind heatshields can cause decrease in performance because they block out air that could be sucked into the filter. Ever see those intake systems that come with the giant shield that seperates it from the engine, it may be cooler but it is blocking air off decreasing hp, the dynos prove it.
