I have a 2021 CX9 GT. I had a hitch installed for my yakima bike rack. I only used it once in the fall and the car would not allow me to back up due to the collision avoidance sensor. I was able to overcome this by disabling the collision alert in the center screen. There were multiple steps involved in disabling it and it resets each time you turn the car on or off. This week, I took my bike to the bike shop and tried disabling the parking sensors using the button to the left of the steering column and I think it worked. I was able to back 20 feet on my driveway, no beeping, and this setting is maintained even when the ignition is turned off. Can anyone else confirm if this is their experience?
