Cobb AP Discussion Thread

boot camp doesn't actually emulate, it allows you to install it in basically full blown mode. like currently i have both osx and windows 7 on my macbook pro. when ever you boot your mac you just hold the option key down and it lets you select the partition to boot too.

anyone have a stage 1 sf 93 + TMIC map? or an added TMIC to stage 1 TIHSF 93 map? or should the ecu be able to handle the big change to 3.5inch core?

how do you raise the idle in atr ?? i see two tables and dont understand..

Can't remember off-hand, I'll look when I get home from work tonight. I seem to remember there only being one table for this.

You should be fine with the TIHSF map right now, and if you add a test pipe, there is a TIHSF+TMIC map for Stage 2 that you'll be able to run. Take the neg. terminal off the battery and let the ECU reset, and you should have no trouble.

There is an A and B table. I believe one is for temperatures at or near freezing (kicks the idle up higher; cold-idle switch etc).

Jracer, your best bet is to download one of the 900rpm idle maps from Bova and load it up in ATR to use as a reference of what you should change to what.

where are all of these maps coming from on bova's site? i finally convinced the wife to let me spend the 700 on the cobb ap and was wondering if i should contact cobb to get an e-tune or use one of the maps on bova's site...i was looking for a map that uses a tmic, tip, aem/mazdaspeed intake, and test pipe with 93 octane. i also have a turboxs hybrid bov and 2 step colder plugs. is there a map that i could use when i get the cobb? thanks guys

well look at your mods and look at the maps. i'd try one of the stage 2 MSCAI ones if i was you.

I have a ETS 2.5, Cobb Tip, Cobb SRI, TurboXS Hybrid BOV, Denso 1 step colder plugs, and I'm running on 93 octane. I'm running Stage1 + TIHSF 93 map, but I'm running lean at idle and at cruise. My LTFT's are around 7-8 at those times. Should I try the Stage2 + TIHSF 91 map to see if I can richen up the mixture?

i dont think this will be solved with a stage 2 map as i can predict this damaging your catalytic converter. stage 2 is specific to exhaust parts. an e-tune or a protune may be your answer to these problems, unless you get a test pipe. i asked this question and got a similar response.

Sweet. Thanks Steve! :)

e; Just tried to update it and it still isn't working.... :(

Are you using the 64-bit beta software? I never did get that to work right, so I'm still using my 32-bit XP image to run all my Cobb and DH stuff.

I am lookin at getting the accessport and my question is can I run the Stage2+TIHFUCAI 93 v102 from this website http://www.mzdspd.com/mzdspd/ms6/ap_maps.htm

It says u should have the Fujita Intake and some kind of turbo inlet pipe to run this map. I dont have the turbo inlet pipe will this effect it that much? Mods are S.U. test pipe, Magnaflow catback, and Fujita CAI.
