Cobb Access Port on Mazdaspeed6

wait wait, they don't have 93 octane maps yet? I think I'm gonna wait... call it bad experience, but there was all that talk that Cobb was gonna do an AP for the MS6, and then it was said they scrapped it and ended up only doing it for the MS3, and then now finally we have the AP for an MS6... so I think I'll wait and see, with all this "should be" regarding the octane maps and the tuning software, I'd rather wait for a "will be"

they do have a 93 octane map, i am beta testing it right now, but it won't be complete for like a week.

oh ok, that's good. so then it's a "will be" and not a "should be"... Have you been to a dyno yet?

Bova,
Will you be hitting the dyno? Also, will there be a stock + 93 octane? If I'm not mistaken Bova, you were running the stock + SF 91 octane map so I assume your testing for the stock + SF 93 octane map.

i probably won't hit the dyno as i dont' have one around me. also i got another revision of the 93oct Stage1+SF map. After i do some logs with this they will then begin tuning it based on MAF calibration so that the LTFT are spot on. Then once they get the LTFT spot on they will then modify other values for performance again.

I'm liking what I'm feeling with the Stage 1 91 octane. I don't usually talk about performance mods until I've had them on for a few days, but the car feels stronger after a good 2 hours of normal driving around town doing errands. Then tonight I pushed this bad boy on the street then the highway and I was very impressed. The car felt like it just kept pooling. My LTFT's were between 0-0.7 and I didn't see any knock at all. I can't wait to see how the 93 octane map works out. Also is it me or the shift from 1st to 2nd seem smoother?

bova80 i know work directly with Cobb. Have you heard anything about maps with the MS CAI?

I feel the same thing with the 1-2 shift. Im assuming they smoothed the throttle release so you dont get any "hang up" on shifting....

i have not heard anything about a map involving this. if you would like to be a beta tester for this map i would go to their site and ask them. i would like to add there is a lot of work involved in beta testing and you must have a dashhawk.

Can you give me a trial flash?

Rutedown and VRMS6... are you 100% stock other than the AP at this point? You've had the AP on your car for over a week now. Is it living up to your expectations?

still tuning it, get the LTFT ironed out then they are going to tune for performance one last time and it should be good to go.

jrss13,
Yes I'm stock. I'm loving the way the car feels up top. Down low it still pulls like it always did, but up top is where all the new fun is to be had. I also like that the clutch is much smoother when shifting into 1rst from a dead stop. I don't know what they changed to make the clutch feel smoother(maybe torque management), but it seriously does and that was my biggest complaint about this car. My LTFT's and KR have stayed at zero even when beating on the car. I can't wait for the 93+ octane maps, TMIC and the short ram intake from CPE or Cobb to come out. No regrets here on purchasing the AP. The car should of come tuned like this from the factory.

Mine is stock other than a TXS BOV. I have a SU test pipe that I need to reinstall soon.
So far Im loving the AP. The car runs smoother now and as others state the shift from 1-2 is alot better. Power comes on alot sooner. I spike up to 20.8psi and then it tapers of and holds at 16.8psi.
I go Nov 1st for a dyno day session so I will have official dyno numbers on a relatively stock car with the AP....
