Orange MSP, she's SPICY!
has anyone tossed one of these babies on their MSP? I heard its like a shot of nO2, in that the super cold air sprayed gives your car a wicked ass boost in power. I heard that its way better, as well as cheaper than buying a FMIC. Now these are just things I have 'heard'. Was wondering if anyone can tell me from experience... cuz i'd rather not pay so much for a fmic... even tho they looks stupid cool son.

Kenetic used it with well reported results.
For the money I would think the FMIC would be the better long term choice though.

Definitely get the FMIC, it is always cooling your air. Then, for dragging, use the CO2 to spray the IC. This is actually the best way since the IC is designed to give maximum surface area to cool the hot pressurized air. Don't think for one second that you can just spray CO2 into the intake....

I believe he ment using the C02 witht he stock intercooler instead of getting a new intercooler.

Co2 sprayer kit would definitely help. You can probably get one for around $300 total. Hell, even spraying the intercooler with water will help a good deal. As you may know, Evo's and STIs come with water sprayers stock, and let me tell you they actually help a bunch. My Evo 8 buddy and I did a 5th gear run from like 2500rpm as a joke. I spooled quicker and pulled a 3/4 car length, but then suddenly I hear his engine get a jolt of power and he began reeling me in. He told me right when he started to spray he pulled back on me. Neat stuff. :)

LOL, I've got to start noticing the forum headings. If I would have seen it was Mazdaspeed I would've known...

I just put one on my car and i like it alot. This is the way i see it since i plan on keeping my stock turbo i really dont know a big front mount, even though they do look bad ass!! I will keep my stock intercooler which works fine and when i go out to race just ice it up :)

It was around 350-400 dollars and the size of the piping was just the right size for the intercooler. I am thinking of taking my windsheild washer nozzle hose and using them to spray water over the intercooler and then hit it with the NOS and the water freezes. I got a carbon fiber hood on my car and it doesnt even have the noozles so i can use the hose from it and replace the windsheild fluid with water..

yes but youll get better results from it..

Not really. You can only lower Core Temp so much. I'm speaking from experience, I have one on my 300zx TT. 'Nitrous' (Thanks to T3EASE, lol) is a waste.

I can't seem to find the old thread on this. If I am reading this right, you're spraying CO2 ONTO the intercooler? I've heard of doing this with water, but not CO2. How is this done? Is it in liquid form? What kind fo piping do you use?

Sorry for all the questions, but I know nothing about this subject and would like to.

Please don't flog me too hard  (whip)

Its actually a gas, when in the container, but when exposed to the atmosphere is turns into a very cold liquid. The system on my Z car is mostly made of PVC type plastic with misting noozles that attach to the IC.

what does the FM on FMIC stand for. I am new to all of this and you guys have been a ton of help so far. Thanks
