The long awaited information is out.. Mazda has released TSB
02-003/03 "Noise from rear stabilizer bar." A clunk noise can be heard from rear suspension when driving over uneven road surfaces such as speed bumps.
There is an updated bushing for the rear stabilizer bushing that takes car of the noise the "E" bushing has a Teflon sleeve.
just thought I would let you guys know. Have a good one.

This is great news. Does the fact that this is a TSB mean that the dealers will actually know about it?

Good job! I just picked my car up a couple of days ago and it already clunks! Could be the cold and snow causing the premature clunk.

this buletin was just released yesterday 11-03-03 so is they read their dealer mail they should know about it.

Why out of curiosity was the flash not a TSB? I still haven't had my car flashed yet because my 3 closest dealers didn't have a clue about it. Also I am too lazy to go to the further dealer that does have a clue.

Yes it is.

i got this done about two weeks ago! it is definatle y much better not to have to hear that damn clunk, makes you feel like your car is performing better!!

I had the bushings replaced once already, but it was with the old model bushings. The clunk returned within a few weeks. I hope they fixed it this time for good.

i have had the new bushings on my mp3. full part number is
BN7H-28-156E.

MAKE SURE the last letter is E NOT D.

thanks for the info dealer, is it possible to get the full text from that TSB?

I checked my work sheet from the last bushing replacement. It was the D that they put back on. So I will now have to get the E bushings! If anyone has that TSB post it! :)

guys if some of you bothered to venture outside of the MAzdaspeed section, you would have known this a damn month ago.
