Well, I took my car in last week for an oil change. I had them take a look at the clunking problem. The mechanic said the bushings on the sway bar were pretty worn. He said he would order new ones and call me when they came in.
I took my car in yesterday since the bushings came in. I dropped it off, and a couple of hours later they called me back saying that the noise was even worse with the new bushings. So they tried driving around with the sway bar off, and the noise was gone. They ordered me a new sway bar, and put it on this morning (God bless FedEx).
I have my car back, and the new bar did the trick! No more noise! But for how long!?
