Clunk Updates

If your car becomes a lemon what happens to it? How does mazda deal with something like that? i cant imagine 1500 mp3s all being lemons over a clunk and the speeds as well. Im sure they will have something coming out for it

They, according to PA law, would have to buy the car back at full price. It would be tough to go lemon on the MP3 because of a lot of our milages though...I remember reading the law, and its very tough to do (corporate america in the lawmakers pocket), plus, if you get a lemon law lawyer, it almost doesn't work out for you because you have to end up paying the lawyer so much of what the car company give you for the car. I could be completely wrong, but this is what I think I remember...getting it fixed would be the best solution, because I still love the car for everything else it does and is.

hi all, my dad works at mazda and today we were talking about the clunk in the mp3, he told me that there was a brand new fix that just came out

Just as long as its not just 156E bushings :D

Well, as far as I know there is a 156E bushings available now (at least for canadians). my dealer is waiting for those so called "E" bushings. May be Mazda is thinking that they can fix the problem by changing the color and series of the bushing. hehe Who knows may be our MP3s like mica blue bushings eh :D .

OH, BTW my neighbour complained that my sqeek is waking him up every morning.. :bs:

well, your all wondering why I'm quiet right....well, it's because I'm not convinced these are the fix yet. I haven't had them long enough to say with confidence....go get em. And with any new part, there is a chance that more damage could occur, or they could be worse.

So, I'm just driving around as much as possible. So far so good. But until I'm 100% sure...

i asked my dad and all he knows is they are some kind of teflon lined bushings or something like that, that's all he knows

I'm going to vote that these will still fail. I think the placement needs to be addressed rather than the material. I'll get them when they come out, but look forward to whoever-that-guy-in-the-other-thread's fix :).

P.S. What a bad excuse for a fix...

Chris
