well, it's been a long time since I posted anything here. And there are reasons why. most of which I am not allowed to write here so I won't. Maybe some day I can tell the entire story, but I have no reason to want to break my trust with Mazda so I'm going to have to be a little vague.
But, I just wanted to add that I have not given up on this yet. Many of you know I moved into a 2003.5 Speed, well guess what? It has the clunk as well. I lasted 2500 kms though before having to hear it again. And damn was that time ever nice. No noise whatsoever, and I really enjoyed the car during that time
Guess we can only buy speeds, drive them for 2500 kms or so, then sell em eh?
Anyways, I have not had an update from Mazda in quite some time. At least nothing positive. My last impression was that Mazda Canada has left this problem in the hands of Mazda USA. Now, nobody has straight out told me this, but from what I have been told about other things, and the absence of any updates lately, I'm left guessing, and I know Mazda USA was trying to get this fixed as well, and were trying to develope a sample bushing as well.
I haven't seen the US fix, or been told anything about thier latest effort. Originally Canada had come up with something, I tried it, and all of Mazda USA and CAnada, and Japan was waiting on my word. I was sending updates to all, but the bushings failed again, and back to the drawing board we go. Fabricating these things, testing them, and redesigning them again when something doesn't work takes a s*** load of time. Unfortunately, Just like MAzda does everything else, this is taking a lot more time then it really should. And I'm really getting impatient with this as I and every mp3/msp owner have a right to be.
Technically, I'm not even supposed to write this s***, but they have left me hanging for too long.
I think it's time we push the dealers again. Bug the @#$% out of them, demand a fix, and get mazda sweating more. I think their being very very relaxed with this issue lately, and with those of us just waiting for a fix and not bitching to the dealers, it takes some heat off of MAzda. Their release of the rx-8, and now the mazda 3 is without a doubt becoming more important then a proper bushing fix I'm sure. I have no reason to think that besides my own theories, but after waiting this long, it is clear to me that they aren't putting enough effort into this at all.
I've been at this since Oct 2001 originally. I finally got Mazda into this around Jan 2003 after sending my 4th letter to them in Nov 2002. This is getting old. Were now looking at 8 months since they said they would help. I have seen their efforts, and they are trying.....but it is taking way too long. Companies design cars in less time then this.
Please don't ask me questions that I cannot answer...hint hint.
