I took apart the EGR yesterday. Soaked it with a carbon cleaner overnight and put everything back together. I know I attached all the wires. Turned the key and all I hear is a clicking sound. The battery leads are free of corrosion because I just cleaned them also. Lights and radio are strong. Starter problem??

yes i did. i think i disconnected the positive lead first :S the car won't start in neutral and remote works to open the locks.

check all fuses. you are actually suppose to disconnect negative post first. when you install a battery you are to connect the positive first

yeah i know. stupid mistake on my part.
but the fuses look good. nothing is burnt out.
i'm thinking it can't be the starter. i just rebuilt that thing last year.

automatic or standard? If standard push start that mofo. If automatic, put her in neutral and see if you have a crazy frined to push you down the express way at 80km/hr then drop her into Drive. She will crank right up. Or see if you can get a jump :)

it's an automatic. push start for real? gonna have to wait for my brother to get home. i haven't jumped it yet, though i don't think that would help.

Try reseting the security system. Put the key in the door look and turn to the right twice and once to the left.

make sure the ground terminal on your battery is tight. maybe loosen it, wiggle it sidways and push down a little, and re-tighten it.

Problem Solved!!! I thought when I tightened the nut holding ground terminal it meant that it was firmly in place. WRONG. I had to wiggle it to the right towards a different angle and voila! The bad boy sat there tightly. Turned the key.....vroom!!!!! zoom zoom time. Thanks guys!
