Just got a call from my dealership saying that there is an ecu flash upgrade that needs to be done for some of the CX-5's that get a false check engine light.
Anyone have this issue? Anyone have the flash done?
I don't have the issue so I am debating whether I should do it or not.

Does it have to do with the CEL coming on when you hold down the brake pedal and step on the gas at the same time? :D I'm so curious about that one but I ain't trying to do it lol someone do it and let us know if the CEL comes on (lol2)

I went to have mine serviced today and they told me about the flash update needed. It is NOT a recall, just an update for false check engine light.

Received a post card to bring the car in for the MSP39 inspection.
I ran my OBDII reader when I heard about the bad thermostats in the new 6s so I wasn't worried.
But per the SB in link below, it looks like if there are no pending codes, it should be fine.

Called Mazda USA also, they said it's not urgent if you're not getting CELs.

thermostat update

Yes it was for the thermostat. It was supposed to be done before I got the vehicle but the software was changed a few weeks ago by Mazda and my dealership recommended I come in to get it done.
Did it yesterday. Quick and easy.
