cheapest CAI(mazdaspeed)

If they can trace the problem you are having to the way you installed the CAI then yes it would void the warrenty. But how you can mess up this install...maybe by damaging the MAF or dropping a nut into the piping (shrug)

Just save the old airbox and put it back on if you need to bring it in to the dealer.

Yep...Kosh said it best. Just be careful when you put it on and you should be fine. Otherwise, be ready to put the old airbox on if you have issues. (Or tell them you got it installed at some dealer out of state... I don't think they would check.)

does anyone know where i can get mazdaspeed3 cai 300 shipped? or better? if not we should try to get a group buy...

I don't know how much they would charge for shipping...but I have seen plenty of prices less than 300. (Mine was $284.) Shipping will depend largely on where you live....

I think I paid a 300 or so including shipping for mine and my mech charged me 100 to install including the BOV at the same time.
how much u get charged to install ur intake and exhaust system?

Intake was isntalled with my mazda mech for 100 including the install of the BOV.

Exhaust was installed by the mazda dealer and we agreed on 3 hours of labor at the price of 89.50USD. They even let me use my 10% discount card...whoopie... so it came out to 275.00 USD.

i did the install myself, and it took about 2 hours with a flathead driver, philips driver, and a 10mm socket. i thought it was quite easy, the longest part was reading the directions between every step and verifying i understood each part. i could probably do it on another ms3 in about 45 minutes to an hour.. so i think the mazda guys should be able to by now.
Does the down-pipe and filter "drop-in" from up top or do you have to move the front bumper or splash guard?

For the CP-E CAI,

You must remove the spash guard inside the wheel well in order to bolt on the CAI to the one of the holes that the second plastic airbox is connected. As for the cone, the sits facing up right in back of the headlight.
