Changes confirmed for 08 MS3.

what a shame... the MS3 is damn shexy and needs to become something special.

I was hoping to see a MS3 coupe... oh yessss m'am

You have to consider though that the Evo, STI, and 350Z are all great cars but cost around the same $30,000 mark. With the MS3, you've got that same amount of horsepower and quality but at a sticker price closer to $20,000. I'm sure people can go into a dealership, once the 2008 models come, and walk away with a MS3 at only $23,000 with tax and title.

It's like the SRT4, but WAY better quality (And will compete with the new SRT4 caliber).

I'd actually prefer 20k other MS3 owners on the street. It increases street credibility... more magazine exposure... and ultimately greater support from after market manufacturers. Very few after market companies will gamble on a vehicle with only 5000 prospective buyers.

Theres still a ton of 07's sitting on lots, theres no way there gonna sell 20,000 of these. The good part about a car like this in america is, americans hate hatches and things like sunroofs and other creature comforts(Also no automatic) that aren't in the Speed3 make a difference to allot of people. I'm glad there were no changes at all as I am just now in the process of buying one, and now its possible to get a discount on a speed3, making the car even that much better a deal.

ya i had ordered my ms3 about 4 months in advance because where i live, well u dont find one, their alrdy bought and sold bfo they even hit the lot, my salesman told me that 7 other people after i put the $1000 deposit to hold the car came and offered 2-3k over msrp just so they could get the car. (and no he didn't tell me that before i payed for it...he told me as i was leaving the lot with it)

+1

Come shop in Dallas...I just found a Silver GT, a Red GT and a Red Sport. :-) Only searched 2 dealers.

In my area, a lot of those are on the way to the dealer and spoken for. However, I am seeing more stock and cars moving slower than before.

They will have trouble selling the last of the 08's if they do not advertise it. And that would be if they did only 5000 more. Like it was said before they come in 6spd, no moon roof, and limited colors. This time next year there will be discounted speed3's on a lot of lots. Around my area they don't sell good at all.

I was at the dealer today for the mount recall and I was talking to the salesman who sold me my car. I asked him what changes were coming for the 08 MS3's and he showed me a memo he had just received concerning that. There are NO CHANGES for the 08's. He also gave me the 08 brochure and they aren't ever changing the colors. Everything is exactly the same which is a little dissapointing. I was hoping they would do away with the cosmic blue to keep that color rare, driving up the resale value.

I also asked him about projected production numbers. He said because of the huge popularity of the car, he heard it might be as high as 20,000 units for 08. He didn't know for sure though and said the actual production numbers should be released the first of September. I really wanted them to be low. I don't want to see MS3's on every street corner like EVO's, STI's and the 350Z.

Please use the search function, you were a week late:

Further proof that 99% of salesmen know almost nothing about anything and are just vocalizing out of their posteriors. 5K the first year and 20K the second? Give me a break.

I think the main attraction to the car was that it was the fastest family hatchback in the world. And that it will only cost you less than $25,000. (friday)

And 25k gets you the high end model.

There is no better stock performing car starting at 22k. Period
