Center display not working properly

I took my center console apart so that I could tap into the speaker signals to install a 4 channel amp and a sub. After I ran the wires I put the console back together but now the display for the center console is not working properly. Everything else on the center console works fine, cd player, hvac controls. Please let me know if you have any insight or suggestions. Thanks

sounds like you might have cracked that little board in the back

Its been suggested that there are electrical connections that have to line up perfectly in order for everything to work. Try taking out the console slighty and then put it back in, paying careful attention to making sure the bottom is in correct as you push it back.

Here's a quick how-to on removing the center console. Make sure you removed the one nut from the glove box (When you were taking it out). If you didn't, you've cracked the circuit board and will need a replacement.

If you did remove that nut before pulling the assembly out, then its possibly just a loose cord...generally though everyone misses that nut. Its basically mazda's waying of saying F you, for trying to do your own stereo upgrades/swapping without going through the dealer. Nobody thinks to remove the glovebox to find that damn hidden bolt, and missing it ALWAYS cracks the circuit board.
