I was browsing thier website after hearing about the Top Thrill drag ride/roller coaster, and this place looks like a really awsome park. I'm thinking about planning an end of the summer trip up there around my 21st B-day (original plan was to go to Vegas w/ my father...maybe I can do both). For people that have been there: whats it like? how good is it? is it worth the drive from Houston, TX (around 1200 miles one way, would definently stay more than just 1 day)?

I grew up in Cleveland, so we went every year up until about last year. If you haven't been there, you are missing out big time! With all the rides, roller coasters and different attractions, its easy to see why its one of the best Amuzements in the world.

Trust me, if you do go, you won't regret it. One thing, if you want to experience EVERYTHING, expect to spend at least 2 days there. Lines aren't bad, but just fairly consistent for every ride. Even The Raptor (one of my favorites) has about a 1 hour wait at the peak of the season and its about 3 years old.

cedar point OWNZZZZZZ!!!

I love it!!! ALWAYS FUN!
make sure the weahter is good, rain ruins it... and closes some rides.

I was thinking about a 2 day stay....plus it would take about a day and a half to drive up there...

I have been to amusment parks all over the country and I must say that Cedar point ownz!! Mellenium Force and Top Fuel rock! It has the best rides around. Second best for rides is Magic Mountain. But, if you want to go to a great park and you like animals, go to Busch gardens in Florida. That park is actually my all-around favorite.
Whatever you do, don't waste time going to Disneyworld unless you are filthy rich, have kids, and four days to spend.

Cedar point is awesome... I have gone to Ohio twice just to go to that park and loved it both times! The Millennium Force owns all.

Hey pip7441622,

If you come up, give me a ring. I live about 15 minutes away and have season passes. Have been to Walt Disney, Universal and even Bush Gardens. Cedar Point blows them all away for thrill rides and even has a great water park attached to it called Soak City. They even have a couple go-cart tracks back in Soak City. I have personally ridden the Top Fuel Dragster and its awesome!!!!!!! 120 mph on the way up to the top height of 420 feet and also 120 mph on the way back down. If you guys would like, I could take my digital camcorder and take some vids of the rides. Just let me know.

OK Truc, you have to get Kelly on this ride. It ROCKS!!!!!!!

we used to drive from pittsburgh to cedar point...awesome park..i didnt like roller coasters then, but it was still awesome...now i do and im 1200 miles away at least...but its fun, who knows, they had the most roller coasters there before, im sure they do now.

I beat you to it, my favorite is of Millenium Force with my friends. Top fuel didn't come out very good though.

Well, it looks like I'm going to be taking this trip. The 2nd week of Aug is when I would be there, right after my 21st birthday :). Gonna make the 1200 mile drive in my msp with my brother and 2 friends!
