Cat back exhaust?

Just want to ask peoples opinion. Is it worth to get a cat back exhaust in terms of power gains or is it all just noise? I will end up getting a dynotronics tune eventually also. i do not really want to get a intake as i do think the standard item is fine.

Thanks for the help. From the graphs i gather it showed no improvement in power with the exhaust and the intake without the tune. Would be more of a response improvment if anything. Thanks i will just go with the tune.

Thanks Shuan

I can tell you for sure that on the 1.5L that we have here in the U.S., the Corksport intake, intake duct and the exhaust do make more power on our motor. I find the exhaust a little loud in the car for my taste, so I would not have bought it if I wasn't sure it made a few more HP. Keep in mind these are modest gains, but the difference before and after was very noticeable across the rev range.

If you read the post the standard UK Mazda 2 1.3 TS is 74bhp, the graph shows 88.5bhp on my car on the dyno using the CS SRI & my 2" stainless cat-back....

The two graphs as the text says are a run as normal & a run with the baffles taken out (to see if they were restricting it), shifts the peak torque from 3880rpm to 4060rpm....
