Did you use a wheel wax or just a standard auto wax?

Very well done! I pretty much follow something similar to that, but without the fancy brushes and such.

i cant' believe it takes you guys so long to clean your wheels. i use a simple mit with soap and water and it takes me at most 3min for the front wheels including wheel wells and 1 min for the rears. and they are spotless. Heck i clayed and waxed my car in 2.5 hours yesterday by hand no buffer and it came out spectacular. This was my process:
-Wash car with dawn dish soap to remove old wax and other contaminents.
-Clay entire car with mcguires clay bar
-Wash car again with dawn dish soap
-Wax car with mcguires cleaner wax
-Remove wax
-Vacuum floor mats and clean windows.

i enjoy cleaning wheels, so i have a ton of brushes to get them 100% spotless. Cleaning wheels is probably my favorite part in the cleaning process.

I've had a fun time trying to find a good brush to clean the stock MS6 wheels with. That drill attachment brush was the best so far. Other than that, the wash mitt works well getting into the crevasses without too much trouble.
