Carbon fiber ideas for DG

Still, something tells me they are not made out of CF. For compressional loads, there are better and more reliable materials out there.

Well don't manner what material they use, we need somebody to make and sell these Bars. they are a most for all of us !!!!

LOL tell me about it! It rained all day today and even with my measely 225 whp I couldn't get traction! It's just for something like that I'd prefer a heavier material like steel.

I think cf door sills would look sick, the black part rite underneath the window

I AGREE!! i know alot of them look faded or are becoming pitted from the weather, and currently the only solution is to have them replaced with a oem part

that would be sweet if we got cf window sills? idk what to call them lol

i say just follow my thread , i have a direct molder already, the thing is just have to get the authorized vendor status setup, once thats done my car and some other msp/ protege donor will be up for any CF requested, as long as the interested required party is there.

that should not be long ways at all him and antoine is already in the works of this, and i am just awaiting response from antoine or any mod and my direct molder to say its a go for a group buy. anyways. hope this keeps your guys hopes up!!.

Gotta do something out here in AZ as the sun is brutal on any black/dark colors. We get sunshine for a minimum 320 days out of the year...

interesting - traction bars if anybody can make this happen....
continue on gentlemen....

They have Carbon swing arms that have wall thicknesses that are only 1/8" thick and hollow in the middle, if u were to take one of these swing arms, or a chain stay and hit it on a solid piece of aluminum it would dent the aluminum before even a stress fracture would show on the carbon part. most of the chain stays were subject to 600*F at peak temp, and over one metric ton of pressure...
but if they were to make solid traction bars they would MORE than hold up to any pressure u could throw at them as long as they are "cooked" all the way through

Very well said... we FWD owners need this traction bars, and nobody makes them for the Proteges, and that s*** is a must if you have power and dont want to spin tires and get mad grip at launches.. Honda's uses them and they are competing with AWD and RWD cars at launches
