The 'rents wouldn't let me keep the car without insurance..
because it would be on the street on the way to/from autox events.
If I sell my drums.. I'll look into it.
 
Update!
Car is at Jim Ellis Collision center getting pulled apart. They already found more damage inside that was missed on the original estimate. So it is definetly going to be more than $6K. My insurance guy had to go back out there and look at it. So I'll be hearing from them monday as far as how long it'll take and such.
 
Sad news :(.... they totalled my car after all. I'll be getting it back home to get all my parts off it then I'll get to go car shopping! I definetly want another protege, but would really like to have a MSP or MP3! :) Anyone wanna sell theirs?
 
Yeah when I read your post that said 6k, my immediate thought was totalling it. Oh well I guess. Are you looking to sell anything?

Sorry Adam. But hey-- you got some cool parts to pull off. (*cough* I'll make an offer on the midpipe if you don't want it *cough*) And new beginnings on a new used car. Maybe you should buy IBoost's Titanium Mazdaspeed. That thing's beautiful.
 
I'm holding onto everything for now till i can find another car. And I really would like to get a speed. I Boost's would be fine with me...lol. So we'll just have to see. You all please help me find one if you can.. help would be much appreciated! And if and when I get a speed I'll be selling what parts i don't need.

And I have no clue what happened to the guy that hit me... don't really care... sure he has enough problems already...lol.
 
I wish there were a way for me to swap headlights + grill from your wrecked car.. (uhm)
 
sucks... cause insurance company has to take it all away... i'll have to put everything back to original if i want to keep my parts
 
all i can do is take my performance parts out and replace then with the OEM s*** :(.. can't take anything else or they take it out of what they are going to pay me

I'd be willing to toss in $50 just to do the swap.

Adam, when the other driver's insurance came to pick up my wrecked 626, it was missing plenty of parts that were OEM, I sold some, gave some away and kept a little bit for myself, besides, a grill is a grill wether it off your es or Chris's lx, they both are oem, insurance doesn't know yours was black and his was chrome, they are buying a car to sell as a salvage title, to hell with them right, some poor smuck is gonna get your car it is going to have nothing but problems as (most) salvaged cars do. just my .o2$

edit: btw any way i could get your stock spoiler? no? how bout the whole trunk lid?

Didi you see where I was hit? LOL... spoiler was split in half... trunk lid smashed. LOL

And Chris, if you really want to swap parts it'd be ok with me. Just will have to catch me when I'm working on it. Just as long as its not damaged or anything and my car still looks basically the same. My insurance guy is not a dummy, though really nice.. I don't want to create any problems. Don't let me forget to get my Silverstars out either... **** those are expensive!

you can swap out his parts for yours. it wont be a problem with the insurance company at all becasue they dont know the difference.

Yep. The only difference is the color.
They're both OEM, and both function properly.
